Notes about the German versions of this volume:
1st edition 1925. 2nd revised edition 1972, reprinted 1982 and 2000. This course was particularly difficult to record, as Steiner was lecturing, doing demonstrations, and drawing on the blackboard more or less simultaneously. In addition, there is no official stenogram. Despite the best efforts of the listeners, the initial reconstruction had numerous gaps, as well as whole sections that made no sense. During the preparation for the 1972 edition, the editors obtained a number of examples of the first edition with hand-written correctinos made by people who had been present during the course. Some corrected only certain sections. Others had re-worked the entire manuscript. These were all consulted in creating the 1972 edition. Even with all this effort, the current text likely contains errors.
