Notes about the German versions of this volume:
1st edition 1937. 2nd expanded edition of 1962 adds two lectures. 3rd revised edition 1982, reprinted 1999. All lectures tenographically recorded by Walter Vegelahn, with the exception of the November 18th lecture, which was recorded by Hedda Hummel. The text is based on the stenographer's initial reconstructions. The original stenograms are no longer extant. During the first lectuer Steiner was evidently describing a drawing he had made on a blackboard. However, that drawing is no longer extant.
