Notes about the German versions of this volume:
1st edition in this arrangement 1978. 2nd revised and expanded edition published 1998. Eight of nine lectures previously published in two separate volumes in 1952 and 1959. All lectures appeared previously in periodicals between 1928 and 1957. Professionally stenographically recorded by Helene Finckh, the first versions were printed from her initial reconstruction. The 1st 1987 edition was revised by comparing the reconstruction to the original stenogram, which yielded minor corrections over the previously published versions.
