1st edition in this arrangement, 1964. 2nd revised and corrected edition 1982. Lectures 2-8 were originally "Cycle 46" (1922). Lectures 9-17 were "Cycle 47" (1922). Most of the lectures were stenographically recorded by Hedda Hummel; a few of the later ones by Walter Vegelahn. The text is based on the initial reconstructions by the stenographers. The original stenograms are no longer extant.
