    Notes about the German versions of this volume:
    1st edition in this arrangement, 1961. 2nd revised and corrected edition 1982. 3rd revised edition published 1996. Lectures 1-7 were originally "Cycle 44" (1921). Lectures 8-15 as "Cycle 45" (1921) and Lecture 17 as part of Cycle 46 (1922). Stenographically recorded by Hedda Hummel, the first versions were printed from her initial reconstruction. The 2nd edition was revised by comparing the first edition to the original stenogram, and also with the notes of Johanna Arnold.
