The Complete Works of Rudolf Steiner: Volume 195
Weltsilvester und Neujahrsgedanken
Thoughts for the World New Year
Section of the Complete Works: Private Lectures to the Members of the Anthroposophical Society
First German Edition published 1931.
Notes about the German versions of this volume:
1st edition 1931. Reprinted 1962, 1986, and 2006. Stenographer unknown. Based on the intitial stenographic reconstruction (the original stenogram does not survive). Steiner was very active in Stuttgart in the weeks when these lectures were held. Everything he said publicly was stenographically recorded, but at this point it is no longer clear which stenographer was responsible for which reconstructions. Clara Michels, Hedda Hummel, and Franz Seiler were all doing stenography in Stuttgart during these weeks. The stenographers were also known to sit down after the fact and collaborate on the official reconstruction. All that survives is the unattributed initial reconstruction.
