On style and consistancy: As you can tell by looking at the covers below, the 50-year project of publishing a Complete Works in German has gone through several design phases. Volumes have been sold with and without dust jackets, and the style of the dust jacket has varied. The current style is the one represented by the the second cover, and it is one where there is a half-height dust jacket in white, with the linen book cover in whatever color visible in the top half. Of course only a small portion of the Complete Works have been re-published in that style, and most volumes are available only in the old style even today. As a rule volumes 1-85 used to come with a dust jacket, volumes 86-354 were (mostly) sold without dust jackets (except for the main lecture cycles on the Gospels, and about 15 other random volumes). The versions shown below are the ones we have in our office, and are not always the most current style of cover.
